To all of you who have naturalized in the U.S. and acquired U.S. citizenship

The US Department of Justice has initiated a crackdown to revoke citizenship for naturalized Americans who fall into the following 10 categories.

It seems that since you have resigned your permanent residence and taken citizenship, it is no longer safe to do so no matter what.

Although many of the items may not apply to ex-Japanese,
domestic violence, drug trafficking, tax evasion, habitual drunk driving, various crimes, false applications for various government assistance, etc.
Please note that a little laxity can lead to trouble.

1. National security threats - Individuals linked to terrorism, espionage, or illegal export.

2. Human rights violators - Those involved in torture, war crimes, or other abuses. Organized crime - Members or supporters of gangs, cartels, or transnational criminal groups.

4. Undisclosed felonies - Individuals who hid felony Violent and sexual crimes - Those involved in human trafficking, sex offenses, sexual exploitation of minors.

6. Government financial fraud - Involvement in schemes like Payment Protection Paycheck loan, Medicare or Medicaid fraud.

7. Private financial fraud - Fraud against individuals, corporations, or private funds. Naturalization fraud - Citizenship obtained through corruption, fraud, or misrepresentation. Referred criminal cases - Cases tied to criminal charges not covered under other priorities. Other significant cases - Any additional cases deemed important by the Civil Division.
