Join illustrator Arthur Grau and percussionist Mika Mimura Erickson for a coloring book and live music lab for kids of all ages. Drawing on pages from Peculiar Produce - The Alphabet Book, the sights and smells of fresh farmer's market veggies, and vibraphone sounds, Arthur and Mika explore how different characters, words, and shapes evoke different feelings or thoughts and colors. Then we'll all get down to creative coloring and drawing to live vibraphone tunes to explore what we've discussed. All materials are provided, and you can take your creations home.

RSVP here on Eventbrite to reserve your spot.

Or reserve in advance for $10 by emailing pelekaicoffee@gmail.com, DMing us on Instagram @pelekaicoffee. (Registration at the door is $15)

Peculiar Produce - The Alphabet Book is about fresh fruits and veggies. The book and its coloring book companion introduce a unique cast of creatively named produce to engage learners of all ages in affirming words, uplifting actions, body inclusivity, and healthy eating. Meet the simple and silly characters, from Ashanti the active Asparagus to Izumi the interesting Ice Cream Bean. Start a conversation about all that is peculiar.

Mika Mimura Erickson is a percussionist, composer, and arranger working across genres and specializing in marimba and vibraphone.
