Mission College, founded in 1977, is a public two-year college with approximately 9,000 ( year-round students ) including 300 international students.

A wide range of majors include Hospitality Management ( Service Industry, Hotels ・ Restaurant Management ), Early Childhood Development ( Early Childhood Education, Toddler Education and Development ・ Health ), Computer Science ( Computer ・ Science ) and other distinctive majors.
The campus has an excellent university transfer program, and many international students are studying here with the goal of transferring to the University of California and state universities.
The attached Intensive English Course is a popular program for students who are seeking to meet English entrance requirements. The program is taught by high quality teachers in small groups at different levels, and the close proximity between teachers and students allows students to study English efficiently and effectively.
Although the number of Japanese students is small, Japanese advisors are always available to support first-time international students.
