Chikusei City's 20th Anniversary: Jun Miura FES: The Complete My Boom Exhibition
Shimodate Museum of Art will hold "Jun Miura FES: All About My Boom" in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Chikusei City as a spring special exhibition in 2024.
Jun Miura is the godfather of "My Boom" and "Yuru-chara," and is widely active as an illustrator, manga artist, and essayist. He has been attracting more and more attention since last April, when "My Running Lamp" was serialized in the Saturday edition of the Asahi Shimbun newspaper "be" as an explanation of the more than 100 large "corona paintings" that he continues to draw in the wake of the Corona disaster. In this exhibition, centering on these "corona paintings," a vast collection of works produced ・ by Mr. Miura to date will be exhibited by theme to provide a fuller picture of his multi-talented worldview.
