2024 Pilgrimage to Manzana

This year's Gospel School is a one-day pilgrimage tour to the Manzana Japanese American Correctional Camp. This is where nearly 10,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated for three and a half years 74 years ago. To the west is Mount Whitney （, the highest peak in the 48 contiguous states (4418m), and to the south is Death Valley ・, 86m below sea level. It is a harsh place, with hot summers and dry winters. Even though it was war, the actions of the U.S. government were intolerable. If you are Japanese, you must visit this place at least once. We planned a one-day tour. We will have a service in front of the cenotaph. Please join us.

The number of participants is 45 on a first-come, first-served basis. 230 Miles one way ・ This is a 4.5 hour bus trip. We will stop for lunch at scenic spots along the way. （ Please bring your own lunch ） The bus is equipped with a toilet.
The cost is ＄ 120 per adult （ including bus fare and driver's tip ） Children （ 11-18 years old ） are ＄ 100 per person. （ Children under 10 years old are free but must register ）
We will prepare dinner for those who wish to have it. （ Please mention this when you register ）.
