We are currently receiving suspicious phone calls in Wakaba Ward, claiming to be from a ward office employee.
The caller states
I am sending you documents related to medical expenses.
The message is.
After this,
they lead you to an ATM machine and ask you to transfer money.
Or,
they will come to your home to pick up your cash card, saying they need to replace it.
This is expected to happen.
If you see a "ko" elderly person
"e" at an ATM
"ka" touching the screen
"ke" using a cell phone
please "koekake" them by asking if they are processing a refund.
And to avoid becoming a victim of fraud, please set your phone to "answering machine" even when you are at home.
