Traffic Accidents, etc.

This is the Traffic Division of the Yamatake Police Station.

As of July 31, 2025, the number of personal injury accidents in the Yamatake Police Station area was 90 ( compared to the same period last year + 7 ) and the number of fatalities was 3 ( + 1 ), showing an increasing trend, especially the number of injured persons, 129 ( 29 + 29 people ), a significant increase.

During the summer vacation and Obon period, it is highly expected that people who do not usually pass through the area, such as vacationers and people returning to their hometowns, are passing through.
Even if it is a "usual road", keep in mind that the environment is different from usual and drive safely.

Also, the heat of the day makes it a good time to enjoy a cool drink, but driving under the influence of alcohol is a serious offense.
"Even if you drink and erase your memory, don't erase it tomorrow." ( Motto for the eradication of drunk driving in Yamatake Police Station )
Let's "never do, never let, never allow" drunk driving.

Chiba Prefectural Police is now accepting applications for participation in the "Traffic Safety Iki Iki Campaign 2025 for Senior Citizens" from April 1 to August 31 this year.
This campaign aims to prevent traffic accidents among the elderly, and those who are committed to daily traffic safety behaviors such as safe driving and using reflective materials and who are not involved in a traffic accident during the designated period will be selected in a drawing to receive the "Traffic Safety Prize ( 3 , 000 yen worth of gift certificates )" will be awarded.
Participants must be "senior citizens aged 65 or older residing in the prefecture or those who will turn 65 in 2025," regardless of whether they have a driver's license or not.
Applications can be made at the Yamatake Police Station ・ each police box ・ as well as at mobile police boxes and when police officers visit on patrol, etc. Please feel free to contact us for details and questions.

Traffic accidents can be reduced by your awareness.
Let's make "Traffic Safety Prefecture Chiba" a reality by working together as one prefecture.
