The City of Toronto to launch new lithium-ion battery safety campaign
Join Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik (Spadina-Fort York), Matthew Pegg, Chief, Toronto Fire Services, City of Toronto staff and Jon Pegg, Ontario Fire Marshal, who will launch a new lithium-ion battery safety campaign.
Date: Tuesday, June 25
Time: Noon
Location: Toronto Fire Station 332, 260 Adelaide St. W.
The month-long campaign will bring awareness to the fire risks associated with lithium-ion batteries and will encourage better safety practices for their use and disposal. Lithium-ion batteries are commonly found in e-bikes and e-scooters, but also a wide range of other devices.
