Today, in several districts of the city, an automated voice will say
"Your phone will be out of service in two hours."
"Please press 1."
and other calls that are making people anxious.
They then verbally ask for personal information, and finally,
"You can use the ATM to do this."
"You can pay with electronic money."
and so on, trying to swindle you out of your money.

Also, many suspicious callers claiming to be from a pension office, etc., and saying
"I have a refund, you can get it at an ATM." We have also received a number of suspicious phone calls from people claiming to be from a pension office, etc., saying, "We have your refund.

To prevent damage, set your home phone to go to voicemail even when you are home and do not talk to the person on the other end.
If you receive a suspicious call, please call 110 or the Kimitsu Police Station.
