Come to the San Francisco ) Japanese Sword Society on the third Sunday of every month to study and learn about Japanese swords and to acquire the Japanese Sword Appraisal Method ?.
We have been conducting Japanese sword study and research groups at the Japanese Martial Arts Training Association and Kenjutsu Dojo and Test Cutting Dojo in San Francisco ) for over 40 years, since the fall of 1980. At the moment, there are more than 160 kuchi ( wields ) of Japanese swords on display for study. There are many swords, such as the big sword, the big sword, the small sword, the kouta, the katana, the hitto, the wakizashi, the tanto, the spear, the naginata, and the shikomitsuke. Tsubas and props are also on display. Kougai, kogara, mahari, menuki, enkashira, etc.
All of the swords on display are for sale, but we use them as study tools for members of the Japanese Sword Society, students of swordsmanship and Japanese sword repair, and apprentices of the Japanese Martial Arts Training Association. We display many excellent swords, bargains, rare swords, strange swords, rare spears, and Japanese swords from feudal lords' families. On the third Sunday of every month, we are pleased to offer detailed explanations, explanations, and lectures on Japanese swords that are National Treasures, Important Cultural Properties, and Important Art Objects.
To prevent any hazards for beginners, we immediately teach how to handle and care for Japanese swords. The number of participants in our study group is always between 5 and 7. Printed copies of study materials are also provided. We have over 2,000 books on Japanese swords written in Japanese. Copies of these books are always available.

The Japanese Sword Society of Kuwakato is working on various issues in monthly Japanese sword study sessions. Japanese sword study is basically conducted in English ( and American ), but the words used are written in romaji and Japanese, including kanji.

23 years ago, we created about 5000 questions about Japanese swords and Japanese history, especially Sengoku history for our members. We have created 5,000 questions in both English and Japanese.
In 2009, I represented the U.S. in a demonstration of Teshikiri and Kenjutsu (swordsmanship) for the BBC (British Broadcast Channel) in Kuwako ( San Francisco ) with two students from a Kenjutsu dojo, Masamune the Master" on the History Channel. Since November 2017, the History Channel has also been featured on YoutTube, and as of now, nearly 350,000 viewers have visited the site. A sample DVD is also available for members.
