The Japan-America Society of Tennessee was established in 2000 to promote mutual cultural understanding and friendship between the residents of Japan and Tennessee. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit, public benefit organization funded by corporate ・ and individual membership fees. Co-Honorary Presidents include Governor Bill Lee and Consul General Shinji Watanabe of the Consulate General of Japan in Nashville. The Japan-America Society of Tennessee is governed by a volunteer board of directors from leading corporations, organizations, and associations.

テネシー日米協会は2000年に日本とテネシー州住民のお互いの文化を理解し、友情を深めるために設立されました。法人・個人会員費用により運営されている501(c)3指定の公益性の高い非営利団体です。共同名誉会長にはビル・リー州知事、そして在ナッシュビル日本国総領事館 渡邉慎二総領事が名を連ねています。テネシー日米協会は一流企業、組織、団体からのボランティアによる役員で運営されております。
