Facade Improvement Grant Program
Now Accepting Applications

The City of Mountain View is now accepting applications for the 2024 Facade Improvement Grant Program. The Facade Improvement Grant is designed to stimulate investment in commercial buildings with first floor storefront businesses.

*Program Goals *

The Façade Improvement Program hopes to accomplish the following goals:


* Visually improve storefronts and streetscapes;
* Enhance prominent retail and commercial areas; and
* Rehabilitate or replace historic features.

*Funding and Eligibility*

To encourage economic vitality and commercial viability of storefront businesses, the City will offer grants with a maximum value of $17,500, including: 


* $2,500 for architectural design services from a city-retained architect; and

*  Up to $15,000 for physical facade improvements, such as signage, awning, or window replacements, lighting, and more.

Funding will be administered in a tiered structure, with 50% matching grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.
