Kawana Photo Studio, located in Tateyama city, was founded in 1913 ( by Takematsu Kawana, and continued to operate for three generations. This exhibition introduces the scenery of modern Awa and the photographic culture of the time, centering on materials donated to the museum by the Kawana Photo Studio. In addition to temples, shrines, famous landmarks, and townscapes, the exhibition features rare old photographs of festivals and the damage caused by the Great Kanto Earthquake.
