Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli infectious disease multiple warning is being issued
[A multiple-incidence alert has been issued for the prefecture from August 21 to September 1, 2024 (the 1st issue in this year)]

The main symptoms are abdominal pain and diarrhea (sometimes soft stools). Progression of symptoms may result in bloody diarrhea (bloody stools) or may cause renal damage called Hemolytic uremic syndrome.
Let's consult with a medical institution early when there is symptom to be worried about

[To prevent Enterohemorrhagic E. coli infection]
○ Be aware about the following in the case of meal
? Wash your hands thoroughly with soap before cooking.
? Make sure to heat the meat and other food you eat. (The center temperature of the food is 75 degrees, which requires heating for 1 minute or more.)
? If you eat grilled meat while cooking, prepare chopsticks that handle raw meat and chopsticks that you eat.
? Avoid eating raw meat as there is a risk of food poisoning. In particular, children and the elderly are at increased risk of getting worse.

[Be careful about secondary infections from patients]
? If you touch the patient's stools for care of excretion, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and disinfect.
? Also pay attention to hand washing when changing diapers, thorough teaching before eating hand-wash guidance for infants and children, and hygiene management of home pools
