HOTS Artist Application Deadline Soon

Share your artistic passion at the 40th annual Hands on the Arts on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Choose to lead an art project to rotating groups of children at the festival.

In return you receive a $400 stipend, a HOTS T-shirt and City staff provide and prep all materials that you submit on your artist application.

Recreation Scholarships for Camp

Camp Sunnyvale Splash registration starts *Monday, Feb. 3, 2025*. Don't miss out! Apply early so you can use your funds to pay for a spot in camp.

*Free Creative Dance and Movement Classes*

*1 to 2 p.m. - **Fair Oaks Building *

Classes designed for individuals with disabilities, ages 8+, who are independent with self-care or bring an attendant with them. Class is set with a 5:1 participant to staff ratio that promotes:


* The joy of dancing together 
* A safe and fun environment 
* Movements adapted to everyone’s needs
* Self-expression, coordination and confidence

Participants must be independent with self-care and be able to attend program with a 5:1 participant to staff ratio or bring an attendant.

Registration links listed below open 10 days before each date on a first come first serve basis. Maximum class size is six participants. Other participants are placed on a waitlist. Registration status is confirmed at least 24-48 hours before class via email or phone.

Recreation Management Software Proposals Wanted

The City of Sunnyvale Recreation Division staff team recently completed a year-long process aimed at identifying the needs and wants for a new registration software. We focused on improving the customer experience for both staff and the public that includes:


* Streamlined online class registration
* Simply printed drop-in gym/pool passes
* Easier navigation within field, facility and picnic rental reservation calendars
* Mobile accessibility

We are excited to share our formal Request for Proposals (RFP) with the public. Proposals are due *Feb. 19 at 3 p.m.*
