Alerting Customers to Telephone Deception Scams

This is an announcement from Choshi Police Station.
A number of phone deception appointment calls are currently being received in Choshi City.
Perpetrators say things like, "I have a tax refund. This is a technique of refund fraud.
You will not get your refund at an ATM.
The perpetrator group may claim to be a city official, police officer, or bank employee, but if they mention "money," "cash card," or "PIN" on the phone, it is a phone deception.
Please hang up immediately and call 110 or contact Choshi Police Station （ 0479-23-0110 ）.
