*Officials advise no swimming at Hā‘ena Beach Park due to shark sighting*

HĀ‘ENA – Ocean Safety Bureau officials advise no swimming at Hā‘ena Bay until further notice due to a shark sighting.

OSB officials received a report of a possible 8- to 10-foot shark sighted about 50 feet from shore.

As a safety precaution, OSB officials have posted warning signs and are monitoring the area.

Lifeguards will reassess the area tomorrow, Oct. 6.

Updates will be provided when more information becomes available.
