A magnitude 7 ． 1 earthquake with epicenter in the Hyuga Sea occurred at 16:43 on August 8, 2024.
In the assumed epicenter area of the Nankai Trough earthquake, the possibility of a large-scale earthquake is considered to be relatively higher than under normal conditions.
Since there is a possibility of an earthquake affecting our city, we ask that you reconfirm your earthquake preparedness.
