An increase in "phone deception" is expected in December.

The number of incidents and accidents are expected to increase during the year-end and New Year holidays, and there is a possibility of an increase in "phone deception" as well.
Last week, scams were reported in Yuko, Kaname-cho, and Higashi-Chiba.
The scam is a deposit and savings scam in which a person claiming to be a city hall employee calls you in the name of a refund, and then the offender comes to your home to pick up your cash card.
When the Chiba Chuo Police Station recognizes an apodemn, it sends out timely alerts about the area where the call occurred and the method of the call through Chiba Safety and Security Mail.
When family members or relatives gather together, register for the Chiba Safety & Security Mail and discuss about telephone deception to avoid becoming a victim.
