View as Webpage August 1, 2024 Reno Connect | Senior Connect Connecting Citizens to our Community August 2024 Updates Senior Tech Connect Classes The City of Reno is thrilled to announce the award of $11,900 through the AARP Community Challenge. This funding will allow for additional technology classes in English and Spanish. The AARP Community Challenge is a grant program to make tangible improvements in communities that jump-start long-term change. It is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which supports the efforts of cities, towns, neighborhoods and rural areas to become great places to live for people of all ages. To learn more, visit aarp.org/Livable. Are you interested in learning how to use your smartphone whether you have a iPhone or Android? We will be offering free technology classes sponsored by AARP to teach older adults basic and advance skills on how to use your smartphone in English and Spanish at various locations. Classes are two part series, attendance is required for both. There will be a variety of classes available at various locations. Choose the location that suits you best.
