Zoning Code Update

The updated Zoning Code (December 2023) [ https://www.santaclaraca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/84763/638596584621430000 ] is available now. With the effective date of the newly adopted zoning map on August 15, all of the sections of the updated Zoning Code are in effect.

*What changed?*


* The City’s Zoning Code now has zoning districts that are consistent with and implement the General Plan
* New Minor Use Permit process for non-controversial planning approvals
* Streamlined placemaking provisions, including for live entertainment and for additional outdoor seating
* Simplified Parking regulations to facilitate re-tenanting
* New required off-street construction parking for large projects
