CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN SSF 30 TANFORAN AVENUE - SOUTHLINE DEVELOPMENT Utility work continues impacting multiple streets and serving as a frontage to the project. The work is being phased to minimize vehicle and pedestrian travel disruptions. The work will proceed as follows: South Linden Avenue between Victory Avenue and Dollar Avenue parking will be restricted during working hours to allow temporary lane shifts to occur as work is underway between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Lane shifts will impact both the northbound and southbound travel on South Linden Avenue. Dollar Avenue between Tanforan Avenue and South Linden Avenue parking will be restricted to allow temporary lane shifts to occur. Lane shifts will impact both the northbound and southbound travel on Dollar Avenue. Tanforan Avenue between Dollar Avenue and South Maple Avenue parking will be restricted during working hours to allow temporary lane shifts to occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Lane shifts will impact both the northbound and southbound travel on Dollar Avenue. Commuters can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Construction flaggers will be deployed to help maintain vehicular travel. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions. 428 BADEN AVENUE The sidewalk along the project's Baden Avenue frontage is closed. Pedestrian detour signage is deployed, noting a safe path of travel around the work area. Additionally, the project expects daily material deliveries, and additional truck traffic is expected. The contractor will maintain vehicular access to Baden Avenue and 3rd Lane. Drivers can expect minor delays. Construction flaggers will be deployed during material deliveries. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions. CALIFORNIA WATER SERVICE California Water Service (Cal Water) continues work at the Mayfair Village subdivision as it installs more than two miles of new eight- and six-inch water pipes that will improve water supply and reliability for South San Francisco residents. Work also includes the replacement of 18 fire hydrants and addition of two new hydrants to the community. Work is proceeding Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with current focus along Cherry Street. Street parking impacts and detours are expected as work is underway. Access to local residents will be maintained and or coordinated directly with impacted resident.  Cal Water will make every effort to minimize traffic delays during construction and will notify customers in advance in those instances when after-hours work is needed. Customers can visit www.calwater.com to ensure their contact information is up to date, along with their preferences on how they would like to be notified so they can stay informed. El CAMINO REAL (Between Arroyo Drive and Kaiser Way) Improvements continue along El Camino Real between Arroyo Drive and Kaiser Way as part of the Grand Boulevard project which includes improvements to sidewalks, planting, roadway, lighting, and landscaping. Work is currently focused along the southbound side of El Camino Real and Del Paso Drive. Minor lane shifts will be deployed as work is underway along El Camino Real (weather dependent). Pedestrian detour signage when required will be deployed, noting a safe path of travel around the work area. Drivers can expect minor delays. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions. INFRASTRUCTURE FIBER PROJECTS (Multiple Locations) The fiber optic utility installation work continues along southbound South Airport Boulevard between Baden Avenue and San Mateo Avenue (weather permitting). Work will be phased to minimize impacts to travel. The contractor will close a single lane along South Airport Boulevard between the hours 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and for the more impactful work proceed at night between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Drivers can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. KILROY OYSTER POINT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT (379 Oyster Point Boulevard) Work continues that impacts a portion of the Bay Trail near the project site. Construction work will result in a localized Bay Trail Closure between 345 Oyster Point Boulevard and 375 Oyster Point Boulevard until 2025. Signage has been deployed noting detour path along Veterans Boulevard and Oyster Point Boulevard. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions. OYSTER POINT IIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The City of South San Francisco is excited to announce the completion of the Oyster Point Shoreline Park Phase 2C. The newly completed phase offers a variety of upgraded amenities, including a brand-new dog park, improved pathways, upgraded picnic areas, fitness equipment, enhanced lighting, seating, and revitalized landscaping. These upgrades provide a more inviting and accessible space for residents and visitors alike with breathtaking views of the bay.  To celebrate the improvements, the City is hosting a ribbon-cutting event at Oyster Point Shoreline Park on Saturday, November 23 at 9:00 a.m. The 51st Thanksgiving 5K Fun Run will take place shortly after. Parking will be available at the Stripe / Cytokinetics Parking Garage at 354 Oyster Point Boulevard, accessible via Marina Boulevard. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments and explore the new features of the park. PG&E GAS LINE REPLACEMENT PG&E continues work as it upgrades approximately 3,940 feet of 2-inch gas main and services to homes in the Sunshine Gardens neighborhood.  Underground work is currently focused along Crestwood Drive. Work is proceeding between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Single lane closures should be expected with traffic flaggers deployed to maintain two way travel on a single lane. Residents should expect street parking impacts, noise, and detours when necessary to complete the work. Please observe all posted traffic signs through construction zone for safety of the public and workers. SMART CORRIDORS EXPANSION PROJECT The Smart Corridor Expansion project is a joint effort by the City and Caltrans to develop a traffic management system along key arterial corridors that parallel US-101 and I-380. The Smart Corridor program provides public agencies the tools to safely manage traffic congestion through local streets during normal operating conditions, major freeway incidents, and special events. The project stretches along the following: 1. Airport Boulevard: US-101 (City limit) to Terminal Court 2. South Airport Boulevard: Road 21 to Mitchell Avenue 3. Gateway Boulevard: Mitchell Avenue to Oyster Point Boulevard Work will proceed daily (Monday through Friday). Some work will be performed at night to alleviate possible congestion resulting from this work.
