Beware of telephone deception pretending to be a city hall employee!

We have received a report of a suspicious phone caller claiming to be a city hall employee in the Mihama area today. The caller pretended to be a city hall employee or a financial institution employee.
In the city, there are similar calls in the same area. In the city, there have been cases of similar frauds.
The most effective way to avoid being scammed is not to talk to the offender and not to answer the phone. Even if you are at home, set your phone to go to voicemail and create an environment where you do not talk to the perpetrator.
Even if you do answer the phone, if you hear words such as "cash," "ATM," or "cash card," suspect fraud, hang up the phone and call 110 immediately.
Also, if you see an elderly person operating an ATM while talking on a cell phone, please speak to them and call 110.
