DPS Citizens Academy

*Public Safety Citizens Academies*

 

Residents interested in learning more about public safety in the community are invited to register for the Citizens Police and Fire Academies.

 

Our Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications through Jan. 8. The Citizen’s Police Academy is a 12-week course on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning on Feb. 19. The program is designed to increase knowledge about law enforcement in the community.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Department is accepting applications through Jan. 31. The Citizen’s Fire Academy is a 10-week course on Thursdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m., beginning on Feb. 20. The program provides an overview of how Las Vegas Fire & Rescue operates.

The variety show will feature entertainment by amateur and professional performers who are all at least 50 years old. Individual and group performances may be in dance, vocals, musical instruments or comedy. 

 

Showcase tickets sell out every year for the single performance. Tickets are priced at $5 and are available at the following city of Las Vegas active adult centers:
