Prevent periodontal disease! 歯周病を予防しましょう！

Today we will be talking about how to prevent periodontal disease.

It is said that there is a relationship between oral bacteria, such as the bacteria that cause periodontal disease, and systemic diseases (myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, diabetes, pneumonia, etc.).
For example, it is said that people with periodontal disease are 2.8 times more likely to develop cerebral infarction and twice as likely to develop diabetes than people without periodontal disease.

Here are some tips for proper tooth brushing as a way to care for your teeth yourself.

- Brush by placing the brush bristles properly against the tooth surface

- Brush carefully using small, quick movements

- Brush lightly

- Be especially careful when brushing before bed

- Use interdental brushes, dental floss, mouthwash, etc.

Keep your mouth clean and your body healthy!

こんにちは！「いきいき元気メール」です。今回は「歯周病の予防方法」についてお知らせします。

歯周病原因菌などの口中細菌と全身疾患(心筋梗塞・脳梗塞・糖尿病・肺炎など）には、関連性があるといわれています。例えば、歯周病を発症している人は、発症していない人と比較して、脳梗塞の発症確率が2.8倍、糖尿病の発症確率が2倍ともいわれています。

自分でできるケアの一つとして、正しい歯磨きのポイントをご紹介します。
・毛先をきちんと歯面にあてて磨く
・小刻みに動かして丁寧に磨く
・軽い力で磨く
・特に就寝前の歯みがきは念入りに行う
・歯間ブラシ、デンタルフロス、洗口液などを上手に併用する

お口をきれいにして、健康な体を保ちましょう！
