Picture courtesy of @seasideheroespark   WHATS NEW Represent Torrance on the Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors We are seeking a qualified individual to represent Torrance on the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) Board of Directors. The Torrance Director is appointed by the Mayor, with City Council approval, and serves a four-year term with the potential for reappointment. Some responsibilities of the Torrance Director on the MWD Board include: Attending regular board, committee, and special meetings Keeping the City Council and staff informed of major MWD issues Providing updates at Water Commission meetings Meeting regularly with Public Works staff If interested, please submit a letter of qualifications, and resume directly to the City Clerk’s Office at 3031 Torrance Blvd. or email CityClerk@TorranceCA.Gov by 5 p.m. on December 4.
