Budget Hearings
The first public hearing by Tampa City Council on the City of Tampa Fiscal Year 2022 Annual Budget and Capital Improvement Program Budget will take place on Monday, September 13 starting at 5:01pm. The public is encouraged to tune in a watch on Spectrum Channel 640, Frontier Channel 15, or online at tampa.gov/Livestream (http://www.tampa.gov/Livestream) .

Our Solid Waste Department is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
* The WTE Electrical & Instrumentation Technician I (https://jobapscloud.com/Tampa/sup/bulpreview.asp?R1=210831&R2=387500&R3=001) is responsible for maintaining and repairing waste to energy plant electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment. Reasonable initiative, independent judgment, and more than normal attention are important to locate and repair defects in plant equipment while avoiding injury.
* The WTE Plant Operator II (https://jobapscloud.com/Tampa/sup/bulpreview.asp?R1=210831&R2=387485&R3=001) performs lead and technical work monitoring and controlling boiler, turbine and auxiliary waste to energy plant equipment. Duties are varied and require analyzing facts to determine the proper course of action within limits of standard procedures. Duties typically require climbing ladders, stairs or catwalks, hazardous materials and equipment, and confined spaces.
