概要
旧松山宿の総鎮守として創設された氷川神社(後に松山神社と改名)の末社である八雲神社で、夏の悪霊除けを願い夏まつりが例祭として執り行われたのが始まりです。現在、東松山市の夏まつりとして定着しています。
各町内では神輿が渡御し、山車が繰り出します。2日目のクライマックスには丸広百貨店の駐車場に山車や神輿が集中し、競演が行われます。
