IN-PERSON: Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí Mexican Dance Performance

Sunday, Oct. 13, 1:15 to 2 p.m.

Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a special performance by Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí (EFC)! EFC is a Mexican folklore dance group that promotes pride in LGBTQ Latinx identity through the art of Mexican Folklórico dance. They preserve costumes and tradition through cultural and educational projects, as well as staged performances.

 

This program is for all ages.

IN-PERSON: Adults Create: Clay Jack-o-Lanterns

*Monday, Oct. 14, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. *

Make clay jack-o-lanterns! In this two-hour workshop, local art teacher Yuming Tseng will teach you to sculpt a jack-o-lantern out of air-dry clay. The Library will provide all materials.

 

This craft is for adults only. It will take place in the Library Program Room.

 

*Registration for this workshop is full. Room for walk-ins will be available first come, first served.* Participants, please arrive promptly. If you arrive late, your seat may be given to someone else. No-show spots will be first come, first served.

 

Yuming Tseng is a local art teacher who specializes in Mandarin-language arts education for youth. Her students exhibit at the Library each year. Look for their work in the Tech Center from Sept. 15 to Oct. 20.
