🌞 Summer is almost here🌡️ View as Webpage May 15, 2024 Reno Connect | Parks & Recreation Connecting Citizens to our Community   Registration Now Open for Vacation Station Summer break is right around the corner, and now is the time to register your child for Vacation Station! Kids between the ages of 6 —12 ½ are able to participate in this City of Reno camp, now offered at five northern Nevada locations: Evelyn Mount Community Center Plumas Gym Obrien Middle School J Wood Raw Elementary School George Westergard Elementary School Last year, Vacation Station was only offered at three sites, and the City is proud to expand this offering to northern Nevada families. Part-time positions are still available at JWood Raw Elementary School for people interested in summer employment. “We are so excited to partner with Washoe Count School District to offer programs in the North Valleys, Northwest Reno and South Reno this year,” said Nathan Ullyot, Director of Parks and Recreation. “Summer is when memories are made, and we are proud to offer this service to our youngest residents.” Vacation Station runs from Monday, June 17, 2024 to Friday, August 9, 2024. Camp days are Monday- Friday from 7am-6pm, excluding major holidays. The fee is $130 per child per week, however, financial assistance is available for qualifying families. The weekly fee will increase $5 on Monday, July 1. During the camp, kids will visit area parks, pools, the zoo, and even a trampoline park. They will also go to the movies, participate in arts & crafts and recreate at their designated Vacation Station site. Parents or guardians should register their children online, however, phone or in person assistance is available as needed.
