Tampa Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Help make our City a better place to live, work and play by taking the Community Interest and Opinion Survey (https://publicinput.com/TampaParksMPOnlineSurvey) . This survey provides the opportunity to further establish the Vision for Tampa’s Parks and Recreation Department (https://www.yourtampaparksplan.com/) by helping to identify park, open space, and recreation needs and priorities.

Alexander Elementary School Supply Drive

As part of the National Hispanic Heritage Celebration, the Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Committee (MHHC) has partnered with Alexander Elementary School - a predominantly Hispanic (91%), economically disadvantaged school. MHHC is collecting supplies to be used in the classrooms, such as tissues, paper towels, notebooks, markers, etc. Donations will be accepted until August 20th, 2021 (https://www.tampa.gov/hispanic-heritage-committee/alexander-elementary-supply-drive) .

Fall into Autumn

Child Tax Credit

TheChild Tax Credit (https://www.whitehouse.gov/child-tax-credit/) is life-changing for families with kids, providing automatic monthly payments of $250 or $300. Those that did not file taxes in 2020/2019 can still use the IRS Non-filer Sign-up Tool to sign up for the Child Tax Credit. The Job of the Week

The Tampa Police Department is looking for a Licensed Therapist to serve as a member of a Co-Responder team consisting of a behavioral health clinician and a sworn officer. This position will include a focus on individuals identified as high utilizers of crisis stabilization units, emergency rooms, and calls for police service related to behavioral health issues.
