A child arrives from Japan on UA.

I am not familiar with Los Angeles, so please let me know.　
I want to drive to pick up my child arriving from Japan on a UA flight.　
I know I should pick them up when they arrive, but this is my first time and I want to park my car and meet them at the terminal.　
I'm not sure where to park, there are many parking lots ？
I seem to be arriving at the new terminal.
Would it still be easier to pick up immediately without parking ？
