College Admission Consultant

I have a 17 year old son who will be a senior this year.
He hasn't figured out what he wants to do in the future
but he vaguely wants to leave Hawaii and go to college on the mainland. His grades are high, but he has been focusing on sports and has not been involved in volunteer work or extracurricular activities, so he is feeling impatient.
Having gone through the rigorous university entrance exams in Japan, I think it is very difficult for me to find a university when I don't know what I want to do.
Due to my financial situation, I think I will need to find a scholarship to go to university, so I think it would be better to rely on a specialist who is knowledgeable in this area.
I was told that in the mainland, it is common practice to work with a consultant to decide on a higher education, but I wonder if there are any such people in Hawaii ？ If there are, I would be happy to have an introduction.
