Chiba City ： Beware of Phone De Fraud ！.

Chiba Chuo Police Station informs.

A tax refund scam was reported in Chuo-ku, Chiba City.

A person claiming to be from the tax office contacted the victim saying, "I have a tax refund. The victim was contacted by a person claiming to be from the Tax Refund Office and directed to an ATM where he/she was asked to transfer money.

If you receive a suspicious call, do not panic and consult your family or the police.

The words "I lost my phone"
"I need money for work"
"My card is being used illegally"
are fraudulent.
