こんにちは、Las Vegasの皆さん。
私は、ＬＡ在住の者です。小学生の娘との二人暮らしです。
毎月の家賃が２ベッドルームで１５００ドルかかる今の暮らしから、どこかに引っ越したいなと思うこのごろです。
Las Vegasの教育環境や福祉面、生活環境、就職、何でも教えてください。
よろしくお願いいたします。

サンフランシスコから引っ越してきた者です。
カリフォルニアは本当に家賃が高く、共稼ぎかよほどの高給取りかでもない限り、生きていくのが大変です。
LA.も今は家賃が高いそうですが、２ベッドで1500ドルはサンフランシスコだと“夢でしかない破格値”になり、最近はSTUDIOで2000ドルを超える物件が珍しくありません。
あの街で普通の暮らしをするには時給40ドルないと難しい、とニュースでも言っていました。
夏のラスベガスはひどいものですが、暑いのも９月末までです。行政全体はカリフォルニア州のほうがしっかりしていると思います。
アパートが広く、家賃はカリフォルニアの半分以下。入居の際のデポジットはタダ同然です。LA.よりはるかに通勤が楽ですし、普通に働いていれば誰でも生活の成り立つのがラスベガスという実感です。
すべてに先進的なカリフォルニアから来るとこちらの田舎生活は少し淋しく感じられるでしょうけれど、経済的に普通の暮らしができる点で、ラスベガスも良い選択肢だと思います。

おっしゃるとおり、ＬＡの家賃も大変高いですが、サンフランシスコはそれ以上に高いのですね。驚きました。
家賃が安いラスベガスには、大変興味がわきました。
