The Ishinomaki City Museum will introduce the activities of Tatsuji Fuse (, a local attorney from Heta, Ishinomaki City ), who dealt with the Great Kanto Earthquake, in both the pre- and post-disaster periods.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake that occurred on September 1, 1923.
More than 100,000 people were killed or missing in the Great Kanto Earthquake, which caused extensive damage throughout the Kanto region.
Not only that, but there are serious problems related to this earthquake in the affected areas.
The Ishinomaki City Museum will introduce the activities of local predecessor lawyer Tatsuji Fuse ( ) from Snakeda, Ishinomaki City
The first half of the exhibition will focus on his activities to uncover the truth about various incidents that occurred in the disaster area, while the second half will focus on his support activities for victims who lost their homes in the Great Kanto Earthquake.
