10/06/2024 - Marketplace SSM Patching - PROD

*Summary*


* Marketplace PROD
* SSM Linux & Windows Vulnerability Patching

*Actions we are taking:*

As part of our normal patching, the CMS Cloud team will apply the latest Windows and Linux patches on Sunday, 10/06/2024 at 12:00 a.m. ET.  The week's patches will impact the PROD* *environment for the affected Marketplace applications noted below. 

*When is this happening?* 

Start Time: Sunday, 10/06/2024 at 12:00 a.m. ET

End Time:  Sunday, 10/06/2024 at 6:00 a.m ET

*Who will be impacted?*

FFM_Opera, FFM MLMS, FFM SERTS-SERVIS, FFM_TWS, VAMS, CRMS, XES - CyberArk, XES - Service Virtualization, MCIM, zONE

*What is the impact? *

Patches will be transmitted to the affected areas. For some ADOs, reboots may occur depending upon the tags applied.

10/06/2024 - Enterprise Testing Services Maintenance

*Summary*

In order to keep up to date with the latest versions and security advisories, the CMS Cloud team will be performing maintenance updates on Enterprise Testing tools.

*Actions we are taking*


* Renew SSL Certificate
* Update Selenium Box Hub and Executors with the latest Amazon Linux 2023 Gold Image for CMS Cloud

*When is this happening?*

Start time: Sunday 10/06/2024 at 9:00 a.m. ET

End time: Sunday 10/06/2024 at 11:59 a.m. ET

*Who will be impacted?*

All AWS Commercial and GovCloud customers of Selenium Box.

*What is the impact?* 

Customers should expect downtime for the service as instances are restarted within the maintenance window.

*Reminder - Open Enrollment (OE12) - Moratorium*

*Summary*

To help ensure that we maintain good system performance and stability during CMS Healthcare Open Enrollment, an annual Moratorium period has been established to shift the scheduling of production system changes into a designated weekly maintenance windows which occurs on most Sundays.

Start time: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. ET

End time: Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 5:00 a.m. ET

*October 1 – Start of Moratorium*

*October 6, 13, 20 – Maintenance Window (Sunday 12:00 AM – 12:00 PM)*

October 6 is also the Production patching date for the September (Victor) patching cycle- This will be the last Marketplace patching event prior to Open enrollment (OE12) beginning.

*Who will be impacted?*

Any Hybrid Cloud IT Operations team planning to make a change to a system supporting the CMS Healthcare Marketplace either directly or indirectly.
