Funabashi Higashi Police Station informs you about the "Thefts of Metals" and "Thefts of Bicycles" that have been occurring frequently in Chiba Prefecture.

In Chiba Prefecture, there have been many thefts of metal items such as copper wire (cables), grating (gutter covers), iron (copper) plates, water faucets, water meters, and guardrails.

Thefts mainly occur at power plants and construction sites, etc. Do not leave metal items where they can be easily seen and take measures such as storing them in a locked place to prevent theft.

Bicycle theft is also common in Chiba Prefecture.

More than 60% of bicycles stolen in Chiba Prefecture are unlocked.
When you park your bicycle, do not be careless and be sure to lock it, even if it is on your own premises.
Also, in addition to the lock provided, use a wire lock or other means to prevent theft by using two-lock measures.
