Occurrence of Phone De Fraud

On June 28, a telephone deception was reported in Miyanogi-cho, Inage-ku, Chiba City.

A person claiming to be a bank employee contacted the victim on his/her landline phone and said, "I have a refund and some documents I need you to fill out. The person then visits your home and takes your cash card.

It is impossible to identify the perpetrator over the phone. To avoid becoming a victim, it is effective to set your landline phone to an answering machine.
