Suspicious phone calls

This is a notification from Choshi Police Station.

In Choshi City, suspicious calls have been received from "persons pretending to be police officers" or "voice guidance" with "international telephone numbers beginning with ＋".
Please note that all such calls are fraudulent calls.
If you receive a call from an unknown number, do not answer immediately and do not give personal information if asked.
If you receive a suspicious call, talk to a family member or the police.

Choshi Police Station accepts
"Application for suspension of international call use"
for land lines.
It is an easy procedure, so please contact the Choshi Police Station Community Safety Section if you wish to apply.
