Description

Oriental medicine" is currently attracting attention and being utilized around the world. For example, it is being used to treat symptoms and diseases for which modern medical treatment alone is not effective, and it is also attracting attention as a method of regimen in the field of preventive medicine. This course introduces the basic theories of "Oriental medicine," including the Yin-Yang theory, the Five Elements theory, the Meridian theory, the Qi/Blood/Tsuzu theory, and the Zangzang theory. In addition, from the viewpoint of scientifically based medicine, the basic mechanisms of the effects of modern oriental medicine （ especially acupuncture and moxibustion medicine ） will be introduced. In addition, the course will include a hands-on experience of acupuncture point massage, which can be easily performed at home.
