Inspired by her way of life, director Sho Miyake has created a new story based on Keiko Ogasawara, who actually stood in the ring as a professional boxer while dealing with a hearing impairment.
I want to run away, but I don't want to give up
Anxiety and courage go hand in hand.
Keiko, who cannot tell a lie and is not good at smiling amiably, was born with a hearing impairment and is deaf in both ears.
She trains daily at a small boxing gym in a corner of a downtown area undergoing redevelopment, and continues to stand in the ring as a professional boxer.
Her mother worries about her, "How long do you plan to continue ??", and unexpressed feelings begin to accumulate in her heart.
One day, when she is still unable to send a letter to the chairman saying, "I would like to take a break," she learns that the gym will be closed, and her heart begins to move.
