This fall, the Women's Chorus Club ended its 30-plus year history after the retirement of long-time instructor Yoko Ojima. The Chorus Club is an important activity of Nippon Club. The chorus club is one of the important activities of Nippon Club. With the hope of continuing it in the future, we have decided to establish a new mixed chorus club in line with what is appropriate for the Nippon Club after the pandemic.
The new chorus club will aim to provide authentic and engaging activities for its participants. We also aim to create a chorus club that will allow us to once again remember the beauty of music and the excitement of meeting people that we had almost forgotten. Through music, we hope to become a place where club members can connect with each other and meet people.

In establishing the club, we have set three major goals.
＊ The big league ・ Singing the national anthem and Japanese songs at government and international organization facilities
＊ 80th postwar anniversary in 2025 ・ Commemorative concert at Carnegie Hall or the UN on the 80th anniversary of the UN
＊ Japan's proud "Year-end Ninth" （ Suntory's "Ninth of 10,000" ・ Sumida Ward's "Ninth of 5,000" and other examples ） will be held in New York. Since the Big Apple is a gathering of people of other races, it will be a "song of joy" that truly sings of love for humanity

We hope to create an enjoyable chorus club while incorporating the opinions of the members of the club.

Below are the details of the recruitment.
● Rehearsals ： Artistic Director ・ Under the guidance of conductor Leona Ito, we rehearse about once a week （ Thursday or Friday ） for 2 hours in the evening.
● Beginners welcome ！ ！
● No need to be able to read music ！ ！
● Gender ： All are welcome
● Membership ： Japan Club members or their families
● Club fee ： 1 month $ 80
