Volunteers needed to serve sake at SF Cherry Blossom Festival 4/15

Volunteers are needed for the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival.

This weekend, the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival will be held in San Francisco, and on April 15 (Sat.), the Tarumikoshi-kai will hold an exorcism ceremony in front of Peace Plaza in Japantown from 11am, followed by a sake shaking ceremony for passersby from 12pm. Tarumikoshi-kai is looking for volunteers to help with the sake service.

Meet at 12pm in front of the barrel mikoshi set up in front of Peace Plaza. Volunteers will then take turns helping with the sake until around 4pm.
We will provide a box lunch and a happi costume. There will be various events and performances at the venue on the day, so you can enjoy the various events of the Cherry Blossom Festival during your shift.
Hat is required as we will be working in an area with no shade. If you are worried about sunburn, please come with sun protection.
