Description

Osaka Castle Tenshukaku will hold the "Special Exhibition: Ieyasu of Kamigata" from October 7, 2023 （ Saturday ） to November 26, 2023 （ Sunday ） at the Osaka Castle Tenshukaku 3 ・ 4th floor exhibition room.

While expanding his territory in the East, Tokugawa Ieyasu had contacts with the Kamigata （ Kyoto ・ Osaka and other areas ） and worked with the regimes established by Nobunaga and Hideyoshi. Especially in the latter half of his life, he himself was based mainly in Kamigata and became deeply involved in national politics. It can be said that the actions he took and decisions he made in Kamigata were the turning points that led to the 260 years of "Tokugawa's reign. This exhibition focuses on Ieyasu's activities in Kamigata and his ties to the region to explore the realities of Ieyasu's rule over the country.
