現代陶芸家　井畑勝江　West Hollywoodにて開催中

日本古来のことわざで「犬も歩けば棒にあたる」という
ことわざがあります。
近年は福に当たると言われています。
福の縁起担ぎにちなんで犬のお面も展示します。

おおらかでユニークに描かれたドットが印象的な作品。
独特の個性が光りながら使いやすく飽きない作品です。
心を温かく、日常をハッピーにしてくれる作品が揃います。
今回、犬の面の他に飾り皿・カップ・ピッチャー等が揃います・
是非、遊びにいらしてください。

「土は自分と相性の良い素材です。
作っている時の感触が好きです。
粘土はとても素直に私の行為を記憶させてくれます。
そして、出来上がった形はキャンパスです。
白地に黒の絵付けは一気に書きます。最近始めた色絵の仕事は仕上がりを意識しながら描いています。
私にとって、ものを作る事は虫のようになれる瞬間でもあります。」

In Japan, we have an old saying, "The dog that walks finds the bone."
lately, people think dogs represent a superstition. So we exhibit dog masks for good luck.
she makes impressive pottery with unique polka dots. They are very earthy and perfect for everyday use. Her heart-warming works make your ordinary day happy and special. In addition to dogs masks, we will have ornamental plates, cups, pitchers, and so on at this exhibition. Please come to the exhibition and find your favorite piece of work.

Clay is a material that suits me. I like the feel of it when I make pottery. Shaping clay is a very gentle and natural act. The shape I create is a campus. Using black ink, I paint white ceramic without stopping. For enamels pottery I work on lately, I paint them focusing on how they will come out in the end. To me, pottery making is the moment I can be instinctive as a bug.
