2022 Exhibition "Ceramic Komainu from Owari-Asahi － A Little Cute Guardian Beast
Komainu (guardian dogs) sit on the left and right sides of shrine pavilions and approaches.
Most of them are made of stone, but in this region where pottery is popular, many ceramic komainu were also produced and dedicated.
Three pairs of ceramic komainu from Ida Hachiman Shrine and a pair of ceramic komainu from Kariyado Hakusan Shrine, both designated as municipal cultural properties, are on display.
