Vivinavi Los AngelesOPT中に失効するF1ビザは更新できるのか?

こんにちは。
現在大学生院生で、卒業後OPTを考えています。
ただ、OPT開始後3ヵ月後にビザが切れてしまいます。
OPTが有効な限り滞在は合法と聞きましたが、
万が一家族の不幸などでどうしても一時帰国しなくてはいけないこともあると思います。
F1ビザを更新することはできるのでしょうか。
卒業まではまだ1年以上あります。
どなたかアドバイスを宜しくお願いします。

私も似たような状況でF1ビザを更新しました。
私はOPT開始前、大学在学中に一度日本に帰国して、F1ビザの更新をしました。
卒業間近だったにも関わらず5年のビザが取れ、OPT期間中に日本に一時帰国しても問題なく再入国できました。

OPTって大学等を無事卒業して申請が出来るんでしょ?
F1を更新したって書いてるけど、元いた大学で?再編入?
それとも、他の学校で?
F１ってのは学校に登校してなくても更新出来るの?
だって、OPTだったんでしょ

＃２さんは、
大学在学中の卒業間近に日本に帰国→F１ビザを更新して新たに５年のビザを取得→在学中の大学から発行されているI-20で米国に入国→そのまま学業を続けて無事卒業→卒業後OPTを申請し働き始める→OPT期間中に一時帰国しても問題なく再入国出来た。（有効なF１ビザがあるため）
と言う事だと思いますが...
