Is it possible to keep my Bank of America and BMO accounts after returning to Japan ？?

（ ＊ I am very sorry, but I am hoping for a reply from someone who has experience or knows information.
I read in a document that both Bank of America and BMO will freeze my account if I have not used it once in a year
I want to use online banking from Japan to keep my account
will it be counted even if I use it from Japan ？ Also, should I inform the bank before I leave Japan to avoid the freeze ？ what would be the process ？
