Comics in Francophone Africa," the first exhibition of African Manga in Japan
The Kyoto International Manga Museum is pleased to announce the first exhibition of African manga in Japan, as follows.
This exhibition introduces the manga culture of French-speaking African countries through reproductions of original manga works by more than 15 African artists, books, magazines, and fan events from the perspectives of history and artwork, artists, fan culture, and publication formats.
Bands ・ Decines （ Comics from French-speaking countries ）, American comics, and Japanese comics have influenced African comics. This is a special exhibition where visitors can learn about new aspects of Africa and the power of manga to transcend national borders.
